Arvato Bertelsmann - Trusted Playback for 15 Ingest-Stations
|
Cube-Tec delivers another Dobbin Workstation using
Audiofile-Inspector (AFI) to Arvato.
Arvato Digital Services - a division of Bertelsmann AG - has equipped their 15 analogue tape ingest
stations with Calibration-Inspector
using Cube-Tec's Trusted Playback Online Service in an outsourced
mass-digitisation project with public radio and TV broadcaster 'Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF)'.
More than 60.000 magnetic tapes have to be ingested in this project. With the help of the
Trusted Playback Online
Service , Schweizer Radio has direct access to the quality control data of every single machine.

Only the Trusted Playback Online Service by Cube-Tec enables the valuable option for SRF as a client of
Arvato Digital Services to access important metadata online and whenever needed. From their office in
Switzerland, SRF can validate the technical quality day by day achieved with the Studer A820/A80 tape

QUADRIGA Video - Reconsider Your Video Migration Strategy
QUADRIGA Video is the next generation migration technology for the transfer of large-scale video cassette collections.
In a joint research effort together with the Fraunhofer Institute a totally new technology has been developed allowing
QUADRIGA to directly extract and digitise the high frequency RF-signal off tape from analog VTRs like Betacam and
U-matic tape machines.
The complete transfer path, from off tape RF to the target file format, is digitally processed.
By substituting the traditional analogue video playback path with optimised software algorithms, ultimate assessment
of signal quality, error compensation and error reporting is possible.
QUADRIGA Video is scalable from a manually

national bodies entrusting their legal investigation tasks to the FOENICS forensic speech enhancement
software.
FOENICS is the de-facto standard for legal speech investigations in Germany.

SWR - Multi-Machine QUADRIGA with Calibration-Inspector
In order to migrate the audio CD archive to file-based servers the German broadcaster SWR is using
CD-Inspector
at all three productions facilities Stuttgart, Mainz and Baden-Baden.
SWR is working with QUADRIGA ingest
workstations for 10 years, but now they have installed their first dual ingest QUADRIGA workstation

National Library Norway - Quality Control
Norway's National Library is digitising analogue tapes in an on-going process, using 4 tape
machine recording stations. In order to supervise the quality of this ingest process,
Calibration-Inspector will now be used to observe maintenance needs
of those machines.

QUADRIGA Audio InputCycler - Aural Control Made Easy
The InputCycler provides automated cyclic switching of all audio input
streams one after another, and therefore supports the multi-module
ingest operator in keeping an eye (or better: an ear) on the various
